My Role
I was the Chief Experience Officer, (CXO) / Head of Design
I was the Sole Designer on the team and was responsible for taking all the major decisions related to the Design Research, Business Strategy, Creative Marketing, User Experience (UX) and User Interface Design (UI) of the system, including app and web platforms. I established key design principles, interaction patterns, used design thinking methodologies, identified key stakeholders, did trend research analysis, user research, and interviewed around 60+ people and surveyed around 257+ users to formulate insights to develop intuitive and seamless user experiences. I built wireframes, information architecture, created user personas, user journey maps, user flows and user tested clickable prototypes using rapid prototyping method, which was made using Figma, Sketch, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. We later pitched our prototype and business concept to multiple stakeholders, non-designers and investment groups like Lake Star and Antler group to raise funding.

WHY

This Start up was created solely out of the problems that me and my business partners faced while from working from home during onset of COVID-19. We were so troubled, as we lacked appropriate space to work from home, its was hard to concentrate, motivate and stay focused with our families, siblings and roommates working from home that we had to create something better not only for us but for others who faced similar problems and thus we embarked on the journey from April 2020 to find a solution for the better.

74% of CFOs plan to reduce their office space because employees have adapted to remote/ hybrid working.
Shopify, Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Twitter announced long-term remote/hybrid working plans
Companies understand employees don’t feel safe to commute to work and more comfortable working from home which has shown improvement in their productivity
Thus they have to balance that with the need to provide meeting place where workers can collaborate and work efficiently from anywhere anytime.
Changing Work Life Habits
Problem
Most of the people like working from home, however it comes with some challenges
Lack of appropriate working place at home
Hard to maintain work life balance
Hard to stay motivated and focussed
Reduced personal connection with co-workers
Getting easily distracted at home with house work and kids and thus hard to concentrate
Harder to collaborate with people remotely
Offices are located far off, hard to go there just for short duration.
User Research
Surveys and Interviews highlighted 3 major problems.

Surveys were held with 256 people and Interviews were conducted among 80+ individuals with Gen-Z and millennials who had had varying work from home experiences and we got some amazing insights that we hadn’t thought of before.

For targeting our first set of users we selected Millennials and Gen-Z individuals who seem to be affected the most by the change and desperately looking for ways to solve the problem.

We mapped out their day to day user journey and formulated an indepth persona to understand their emotional journey and key point of interactions during the day/ task to find ways how we as a business can support them the best.
Insights - Solution
Talking and interviewing with the users helped us understand the key problems they faced and their needs. Based on that we were able to synthesize them into key insights which drove our unique solution.
Lack of appropriate space to meet high profile client frequently close to her and impress them.
It’s very hard for people to find appropriate workspace to work from or meet clients and get the required tools especially when they are traveling.
Connecting remote professionals to with vacant infrastructures like hotels and cafes close to them that provide all the required tools, softwares and appropriate work setting to work efficiently
Users often feel unable to concentrate and be productive as they get distracted by their children, family especially while during important meetings from home.
People prefer to have a more unique, relaxing and calming experience to be productive.
Providing users with calming, themed relaxing environment with health and wellbeing facilities which not only improves their image standing but also helps them to concentrate, be productive and work efficiently.
Users often don't feel comfortable conducting important meetings and working from co-working spaces as it can be crowded, expensive, too noisy and might involve exchange of confidential information among colleagues which would be hard to facilitate in public spaces otherwise.
Enabling users to book Individual, Mini meet and Conference rooms in the hotels and cafes specially dedicated for working especially while traveling to meet clients and make business transactions would be really beneficial.
How might we improve the working experience for remote / hybrid professionals and employees such that they are able to find productive workspaces based on their personal working requirements for short duration ?
